Manu Ginobili scored 26 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to their fourth straight win, a 95-91 victory over the host Charlotte Bobcats on Monday.
Rookie Gary Neal added 15 points for the Spurs (5-1), while Tim Duncan had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Tony Parker contributed 12 points and eight assists.
Ginobili connected on five of San Antonio’s 12 3-pointers and made the clinching driving layup with 4.9 seconds left after Charlotte (1-6) trimmed a nine-point deficit to two.
Tyrus Thomas led Charlotte with 16 points and eight rebounds. Stephen Jackson and Boris Diaw chipped in 15 points apiece. Bobcats leading scorer Gerald Wallace had a subpar game with just seven points on 2-of-11 shooting.
The loss was the third in a row for Charlotte, which shot 39.8 percent from the field.
