Derrick Rose scored eight of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and added six assists as the Chicago Bulls got the better of the visiting Denver Nuggets, 94-92, on Monday.
Joakim Noah pulled down 19 rebounds with 13 points and Luol Deng added 17 points for the Bulls, who snapped a two-game slide.
Chicago led, 68-58, with 2:54 left in the third quarter before Denver came storming back. Carmelo Anthony scored 10 points in the final 1:34 to give the Nuggets a 70-68 edge going into the fourth period.
Anthony’s layup with 10:42 remaining widened the margin to 77-70.
The Bulls did not give up, going on a 15-7 run and taking back the lead, 85-84, when Rose nailed a runner with 3:39 to play. Kyle Korver hit two free throws and Deng converted 1-of-2 from the line with under 10 seconds left to lock it up.
Anthony finished with 32 points and eight rebounds and Chauncey Billups chipped in 14 points for the Nuggets.
