Corey Dickerson's single brought in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning and the visiting Toronto Blue Jays edged the Detroit Tigers 3-2 on Saturday.
Dickerson had three hits and Alejandro Kirk supplied a solo homer. Bo Bichette contributed two hits and an RBI.
Jordan Romano (6-1) pitched the last two innings to pick up the victory.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. scored from second on Dickerson's one-out bloop to left. The Blue Jays stranded runners in scoring position to end their half of the 10th.
Detroit's runner in the 10th, Zack Short, was thrown out at third on a fielder's choice. Romano set down the last two batters on a flyout and a strikeout.
Jeimer Candelario and Eric Haase drove in the Detroit runs.
Toronto starter Alek Manoah allowed two runs on four hits and struck out eight in 6 1/3 innings. Blue Jays pitchers allowed a total of five hits.
Detroit starter Jose Urena, who was activated off the 10-day injured list this weekend, pitched three scoreless innings while allowing three hits. Kyle Funkhouser (6-2) took the loss.
The Tigers had two runners on with one out in the third but Akil Baddoo tapped into a double play.
Toronto had two baserunners the next inning but Alex Lange struck out Breyvic Valera to end that threat.
The Blue Jays ended the scoring drought in the sixth when Kirk blasted a two-out homer off Tyler Alexander. The next two Blue Jays reached base but Teoscar Hernandez flied out to leave them stranded.
Toronto made it 2-0 in the seventh when Randal Grichuk led off with a single, moved up on a Jason Foley wild pitch and scored on Bichette's single to right.
Detroit tied it in the bottom of the frame. Jonathan Schoop and Robbie Grossman hit back-to-back singles. After Miguel Cabrera struck out, Candelario knocked in Schoop with a single. Haase's fielder's choice grounder brought home Grossman to forge a 2-all tie.
The Tigers had won three of the first four games in the season series. They close out the series on Sunday.
