Greg Garcia had four hits, including a two-run triple as part of a four-run ninth inning, and the San Diego Padres rallied to beat the Colorado Rockies 14-13 in Denver on Sunday.
Hunter Renfroe hit two home runs for San Diego, and Fernando Tatis Jr. had three hits and was a home run short of a cycle.
Gerardo Reyes (3-0) struck out the side in the eighth inning to get the win, and Kirby Yates got the last three outs for his 24th save.
Charlie Blackmon homered and had three hits to set a record for most hits in a four-game series; Trevor Story also went deep; and Ian Desmond, Ryan McMahon and Raimel Tapia also had three hits for Colorado.
Blackmon finished with 15 hits in the four games to break a 58-year-old record. The two teams combined for 92 runs, which is tied for the most in a four-game series since 1900, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
The game was delayed briefly in the top of the first when a water line broke in foul territory near right field and another 48 minutes for lightning in the sixth.
The Padres rallied from six down in the ninth inning Friday and rallied again in the last inning Sunday. Rockies closer Wade Davis (1-2) walked two, Wil Myers cut it to 13-11 with a single and Garcia tied it with a triple.
Jon Gray came on, issued two intentional walks and then walked pinch hitter Matt Strahm, a pitcher, to give San Diego the lead.
The Padres scored three runs in the first, and Colorado answered with six in the bottom of the inning. Blackmon had a leadoff homer and an RBI single in the frame.
San Diego scored two in the second, and Colorado answered with three in its half of the inning.
The Padres got three more in the third to pull within 9-8, but Story hit his 17th homer in the fifth. Colorado added three more runs in the sixth on four doubles and Blackmon's third hit.
The Padres got two back in the seventh on a Manny Machado RBI groundout and Renfroe's second home run, his 23rd of the season.
