Carl Crawford and Pat Burrel each drove in two runs as the Rays won for the ninth time in 10 tries.
James Shields (2-0) won his second straight start, giving up two runs on six hits in seven innings.
Chicago led 2-0 after scoring in the first and second innings before the Rays scored three in the third, four in the fifth and three in the eighth.
Jake Peavy (0-1) has yet to win in his four starts as the the right-hander allowed seven runs and seven hits, walked seven and struck out five in 4 1/3 innings.
