Senior forward Roger Woods had 19 points and nine rebounds and Arkansas-Little Rock claimed the Sun Belt's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 70-50 victory over Louisiana-Monroe in Sunday's conference tournament title game at New Orleans.

Junior guard Marcus Johnson Jr. scored 14 points for the top-seeded Trojans (29-4), who are making their fifth appearance in the NCAA field. Junior guard Kenny Osse had 12 points and junior swingman Jalen Jackson added 11.

Senior guard Justin Roberson scored 17 points for the second-seeded Warhawks (20-13). Senior forward Majok Deng added 12 points for Louisiana-Monroe, which was attempting to reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1996.

The Trojans outscored the Warhawks 42-17 in the second half to roll to the easy victory. Louisiana-Monroe made just 7 of 25 shots -- and missed all eight 3-point attempts -- in the second half.

Arkansas-Little Rock trailed by five at halftime and turned things around quickly in the second half with a 13-2 burst to hold a 41-35 advantage. Johnson's jumper gave the Trojans a 50-41 edge with 10:26 to play and he buried a 3-pointer two-plus minutes later to make it an 11-point margin.

Woods' layup increased Little Rock's lead to 61-48 with 4:30 remaining. The lead reached 20 on two free throws by Osse with 1:39 left.

Roberson scored 12 first-half points and the Warhawks shot 58.3 percent from the field over the first 20 minutes. Little Rock led 18-12 after Ossie's jumper with 7:43 remaining before Louisiana-Monroe controlled the rest of the half and took a 33-28 lead into the break.
