MURRAY STATE 75, SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 66: Donte Poole scored a game-high 25 points and No. 14 Murray State clinched the Ohio Valley Conference regular season title.

After a slow start, the visiting Racers (25-1, 13-1 Ohio Valley Conference) took control midway through the first half and enjoyed a 32-22 lead at halftime behind Poole's 11 points.

Ivan Aska had 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds for the Racers, while Jewuan Long and Ed Daniel added 10 apiece. Daniel also had eight rebounds.

Southeast Missouri State (14-12, 9-5) was led by Leon Powell's 13 points and Corey Wilford's 12.

Poole, who had scored only 23 points in his previous three games, led the Racers by hitting 7 of 12 from the field, including 4 for 6 from 3-point range.

Murray State built its second-half lead to 13 before Southeast Missouri made a late run, cutting the deficit to 53-48 with 6:43 remaining. Murray State then used a 6-0 run to put the game away for good.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Murray State did not score its first basket until 5:37 had elapsed. ... The Racers avenged a loss at Southeast Missouri last year and have not lost back-to-back games in Cape Girardeau since 1943-44. ... Murray State standout guard Isaiah Canaan was held to only nine points on 2-of-11 shooting from the field. ... Southeast Missouri, the OVC's top shooting team, shot 37.3 percent.
