Freddy Galvis slugged a go-ahead, three-run homer in the fifth inning, leading the Cincinnati Reds to a 6-3 win over the host Miami Marlins on Monday night.

Cincinnati's Eugenio Suarez and Phillip Ervin added solo homers in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively. It was Suarez's 36th homer of the season and Ervin's fourth.

Galvis, who also had a run-scoring groundout, finished with a season-high-tying four RBIs as the Reds snapped their three-game losing streak. Galvis has hit 22 homers this season, a career high. His 65 RBIs are two short of his career best.

The Reds held Miami to just five hits. Starter Sonny Gray (10-6) earned the win, allowing two hits, five walks and two runs in six-plus innings. He struck out six.

Reliever Michael Lorenzen inherited a two-on, no-out jam in the seventh and kept both runners from scoring. Lorenzen's final numbers on the night: two scoreless innings, one hit and no walks.

Raisel Iglesias closed out the win by pitching the ninth, allowing two of Miami's hits, including Jorge Alfaro's solo homer.

Pablo Lopez (5-6), making his first start since going on the injured list on June 16 due to a strained right shoulder, took the loss, allowing five hits, one walk and four runs in five innings. He is 0-2 against the Reds this year.

Cincinnati got to Lopez in the third. Josh VanMeter pulled a triple down the right field line, diving head-first into the bag at third. Moments later, he dived again, scoring when Galvis' chopper was fielded by first baseman Garrett Cooper, whose throw home was just late.

Miami took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third. Jon Berti drew a leadoff walk, and Neil Walker pulled a homer to right-center. It was his first homer since June 29 and his sixth of the season.

The Reds took control of the game by slugging the next three homers -- by Galvis, Suarez and Ervin. The longest blasts of the night were by Ervin (436 feet) and Suarez (432).

The go-ahead rally happened in the fifth as Nick Senzel -- back in the lineup after missing two starts due to a sore right thumb -- hit a leadoff single. VanMeter walked, and Galvis followed by smacking a first-pitch fastball that got over the glove of left fielder Berti by just a few inches. The homer was measured at 387 feet.
