Yankees 4, White Sox 3 (10): Jacoby Ellsbury ignited a three-run rally in the ninth before delivering a solo home run in the 10th as New York ended a string of eight consecutive losses in Chicago.
Alfonso Soriano had an RBI double and Yangervis Solarte and Brian McCann produced run-scoring singles against White Sox closer Ronald Belisario in the ninth before Ellsbury hit his second homer off Zach Putnam (2-1) with two outs in the 10th. Dellin Betances (3-0) pitched a scoreless ninth and David Robertson rebounded from giving up Adam Dunn's walk-off homer on Friday night to notch his 10th save.
Gordon Beckham and Adam Eaton each had three hits and scored a run and Dayan Viciedo had an RBI double for the White Sox, who wasted eight scoreless innings of three-hit ball by starter John Danks. Yankees left-hander Vidal Nuño gave up three runs - all in the first inning - but went seven-plus frames to keep New York within striking distance.
The White Sox pounced on Nuno with three hits to open the game, getting back-to-back singles from Eaton and Beckham before Viciedo followed with an RBI double. Dunn added a sacrifice fly to plate another run before Viciedo came home on Alexei Ramirez's groundout.
Danks, who faced two batters over the minimum through seven innings, set down 12 in a row before John Ryan Murphy and Brendan Ryan singled with two outs in the eighth, but he retired Brett Gardner on a flyout to right. The Yankees broke through against Belisario in the ninth when Soriano doubled home Ellsbury and scored on Solarte's single before McCann tied it with his two-out, pinch-hit bloop single over shortstop.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Ellsbury's single in the ninth inning halted a 3-for-40 slump ... Beckham has hit safely in six straight games and nine of his last 10. ... Yankees captain Derek Jeter played in his 2,584th game at shortstop, moving past Hall of Famer Luis Aparicio for the second-most games played at the position. ... White Sox manager Robin Ventura was ejected in the second inning after umpires reversed a call and ruled that Chicago C Adrian Nieto went out of the baseline to avoid a tag during a rundown.
