Rays 4, Giants 3: Sam Fuld scored the tying run in the fifth and delivered an RBI single an inning later to lift host Tampa Bay to victory in the rubber match of the three-game interleague series.
Rookie Wil Myers belted a two-run homer and Evan Longoria added an RBI base hit for the Rays, who remained one game behind first-place Boston in the American League East.
San Francisco erased a 2-1 deficit as Brandon Crawford hit a two-run triple in the fourth, but Fuld drew a leadoff walk in the fifth and stole second before racing home on Longoria's two-out single. Another leadoff walk in the sixth came back to haunt the Giants as Yunel Escobar received a free pass from Jose Mijares (0-3) before scoring on Fuld's base hit three batters later.
Alex Torres (4-0) picked up the win after striking out two in 1 1/3 innings of relief. Fernando Rodney worked a perfect ninth for his 27th save.
Buster Posey went 2-for-4 with an RBI while Hunter Pence and Marco Scutaro also had two hits apiece for the Giants, who have lost two straight following a three-game winning streak.
