Blue Jays 7, Mariners 2: Jose Reyes led off the game with a homer and Josh Johnson snapped a six-start losing streak as visiting Toronto defeated Seattle ace Felix Hernandez for its third straight victory.

Reyes and Emilio Bonifacio had two RBIs apiece and the Blue Jays racked up nine hits off Hernandez (11-5). The American League ERA leader (2.39) gave up six runs (three earned) in five innings.

Johnson (2-8) allowed five hits over five shutout innings to win for the first time since June 23. He had allowed 25 earned runs in 16 innings over his last four starts.

Reyes hit the first pitch over the fence, Bonifacio had a two-run single in the fourth and Reyes singled in a run later in the inning to give the Blue Jays a 4-0 lead. Colby Rasmus and Brett Lawrie delivered run-scoring singles in the fifth and Toronto increased its lead to seven on Raul Ibanez’s throwing error in the seventh.

Brad Miller had a two-run triple in the seventh for Seattle’s runs.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Mariners committed a season-high four errors, leading to four unearned runs. … Lawrie had two hits and is 14-for-33 during a nine-game hitting streak. … Seattle released OF Jason Bay, demoted RHP Tom Wilhelmsen to Triple-A Tacoma and recalled RHP Carter Capps.
