Rays 5, Red Sox 3: Jose Molina had three hits and drove in two runs while Matt Joyce's two RBIs capped a five-run fourth inning and led host Tampa Bay to its sixth straight victory.

With the game tied at 3 and two outs, Joyce hit a pop up that first baseman Mike Napoli appeared to lose in the Tropicana Field roof and it fell for a single as two runs scored. Matt Moore (7-0) became the second seven-game winner in the majors after allowing three runs, three hits and striking out eight in six innings.

David Ortiz hit a three-run homer in the first inning for the Red Sox, who have lost nine of their last 11 games. John Lackey (1-4) yielded five runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings while losing his third straight start.

Jacoby Ellsbury was hit by a pitch to lead off the game and one out later, Dustin Pedroia doubled. Ortiz, who had one hit in his previous 20 at-bats as he battles a sore oblique, crushed Moore's 1-0 offering into the right-field seats for his fifth homer.

Tampa recorded three straight hits to begin the fourth inning, including Luke Scott's check-swing bloop RBI double. Molina delivered a one-out single to center field to drive in two and, after Yunel Escobar singled, the pair moved into scoring position on Desmond Jennings' flyout to center to set the stage for Joyce.

Jennings returned to the lineup after missing three games because of a groin injury and went 0-for-4 with a strikeout. ...
