Diamondbacks 3, Marlins 0: Rookie Wade Miley allowed just four hits in eight dominant innings as Arizona completed a sweep of Miami in the first home doubleheader in franchise history.

Paul Goldschmidt and Chris Johnson delivered run-scoring singles as the Diamondbacks earned a split of the four-game series.

Arizona won the opener 3-2 as rookie Tyler Skaggs pitched 6 2/3 innings to win his major-league debut.

Miley (14-8) struck out five and walked one while pitching eight innings for the fourth time this season.

J.J. Putz pitched the ninth for his second save of the day and 26th of the season. Putz has converted 17 consecutive save opportunities and also hasn’t allowed a run in 20 2/3 innings over his last 21 appearances.

Goldschmidt had a run-scoring single in the first off Wade LeBlanc (2-3) to give Arizona the early lead.

Johnson blooped a single that landed into shallow right field to make it 2-0 in the fourth and another run scored later in the inning on a passed ball by Marlins catcher Rob Brantly.

LeBlanc allowed three runs (two earned) and five hits in seven innings.

Miami had just 10 hits while being swept after racking up 35 hits over the first two games of the series.
