After Cliff Lee blanked the Washington Nationals in his previous two starts, Danny Espinosa belted a pair of homers and Michael Morse collected three hits en route to a 10-2 home victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday.

Lee (4-5) hardly resembled the hurler who struck out 12 and tossed a three-hit, complete-game shutout against the Nationals on April 14. The 33-year-old permitted six runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings to take the loss.

Washington erupted for five runs in the third inning and never looked back. Espinosa keyed the onslaught with a three-run homer in the third and a solo shot to lead off the sixth. The 24-year-old California native has blasted three homers in two days to increase his season total to 10.

Morse, who extended his hitting streak to nine games, drove in two runs and scored twice. Former Phillie Jayson Werth ripped a run-scoring double and Jerry Hairston Jr. and Ivan Rodriguez added RBI singles as the Nationals won for just the third time in 13 contests.

The offensive outburst was more than enough for Jason Marquis (6-2), who overcame back-to-back homers by Domonic Brown and John Mayberry Jr. to work 6 1/3 innings and improve to 4-0 at home this season.
