Scott Baker pitched eight strong innings and Delmon Young tallied three hits and two RBIs as the Minnesota Twins earned a split of a day-night doubleheader with a 6-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles in the nightcap on Saturday.

Drew Butera added two RBIs and Jim Thome had a pair of hits for the Twins, who became the third team in the majors to reach the 20-win plateau.

Baker retired the first 11 batters he faced and allowed only three hits and one run en route to improving to 4-2. The 28-year-old right-hander struck out eight and did not walk a batter in his longest outing of the season.

Nick Punto doubled in a run in the second to jump-start the offense and Minnesota added two more in the sixth before breaking the game open with three runs in the ninth. Butera, who was starting at catcher in place of the injured Joe Mauer, capped the rally with a two-run single.

Kevin Millwood (0-4) suffered the loss for the Orioles, allowing three runs on seven hits in seven innings.

Luke Scott homered for Baltimore, which had won the first two games of the four-game set.
