Rookie Travis Wood took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and Joey Votto belted a two-run home run as the visiting Cincinnati Reds completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs with an 11-4 victory on Sunday.
Jay Bruce had three hits and two RBIs and Jonny Gomes reached base five times and scored four runs for the streaking Reds, who extended their winning streak to four games.
Ryan Hanigan also plated two runs with a pair of sacrifice flies for Cincinnati, which entered the day with a 1 1/2-game lead over St. Louis atop the National League Central.
Wood (3-1) won his third consecutive start with his second strong performance against the Cubs this season.
After Koyie Hill broke up his no-hit bid with one out in the sixth, Wood was charged with all four runs - three earned - in the seventh inning.
The Reds had already given the 23-year-old left-hander an 8-0 cushion by then, after roughing up Chicago rookie Thomas Diamond (0-2) for five runs and four hits in three innings.
Jeff Baker had a solo homer for the Cubs, who lost for the 10th time in 11 games.
