Anthony Davis recorded 29 points, 16 rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots to help the Los Angeles Lakers post a 111-88 victory over the visiting Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.
LeBron James added 21 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds for his ninth triple-double of the season and 121st of his career. Austin Reaves had 16 points and eight assists and reserve Dorian Finney-Smith also scored 16 points as the Lakers won for just the third time in seven games.
The 23-point margin of victory is Los Angeles' largest of the season.
Bilal Coulibaly scored 17 points, Jordan Poole had 15 points and seven rebounds and reserve Corey Kispert also had 15 points for the Wizards. Washington lost its 11th straight game and fell to 1-18 on the road this season. The Wizards have won an NBA-low six games.
Kyle Kuzma added 12 points, nine rebounds and five assists and Alex Sarr produced 10 points, six boards and five blocked shots for Washington, which had allowed 120 or more points in each of its previous six games.
The Lakers shot 47.8 percent from the field, including 11 of 34 (32.4 percent) from 3-point range. Finney-Smith was 4 of 6 from behind the arc.
Washington made 35.8 percent of its shots and was a shaky 11 of 43 (25.6 percent) from behind the arc.
The Wizards trailed by nine early in the fourth quarter before Los Angeles rattled off eight straight points, including a dunk and a 3-pointer from Finney-Smith, to take a 97-80 advantage with 8:30 to go.
The Wizards moved within 13 on Poole's trey with 6:32 to play but couldn't make a sustained charge. Washington was held scoreless over the final 5:18 as Los Angeles finished on a 10-0 run.
James achieved his latest triple-double by grabbing a rebound with 3:19 left. He signaled over to Lakers coach JJ Redick to call timeout, and he exited when his wishes were obliged seconds later.
Davis scored 19 points and James added 14 as the Lakers led 59-49 at halftime. Poole had 12 before the break for Washington.
Los Angeles scored 14 of the first 20 points in the third quarter to increase the lead to 73-55 on James' basket with 7:02 left in the period.
Coulibaly scored 12 points in the quarter to keep the Wizards in range. Gabe Vincent's 3-pointer with 3.5 seconds left gave Los Angeles an 89-77 lead.
