Temple 82, Delaware 62: Quenton DeCosey had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead the visiting Owls to an easy victory over the winless Blue Hens.

Jesse Morgan also had 16 points, including four 3-pointers, in his debut for Temple (7-4), which bombed away from long range, getting 16 of its 30 made field goals beyond the arc. Will Cummings chipped in with 11 points, 10 assists and five rebounds.

Kyle Anderson led Delaware (0-8) with 20 points, including 4-of-9 shooting from 3-point range. Maurice Jeffers added 11 points and 12 rebounds while Marvin King-Davis contributed eight points.

The game was close in the opening moments, with the Blue Hens getting five points from Jeffers and closing within one with 11:10 to go in the half on King-Davis' jumper. But Temple took control from there, going on a 16-5 run over the next 8:30 that included four 3-pointers — two by Devin Coleman — and hit two more triples to end the half to take a 37-21 advantage into the locker room.

Delaware pulled back within 14 with 16:36 to go in the second half before a quick 7-0 run in just over a minute pushed the Owls' advantage to 21 and when Morgan hit a 3-pointer with 13:01 to play, the lead was 25 and the rout was on. The lead got down to 14 with just under six minutes to play, but DeCosey scored seven of Temple's next nine points to push it back to 20 and the Blue Hens never threatened again.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The school record for 3-pointers in a game at Temple is 19. … Morgan was playing for the Owls for the first time after transferring from Massachusetts while Coleman, also debuting after transferring from Clemson, had nine points on 3-of-6 shooting from 3-point range off the bench. … Temple finished with 10 steals, including three by DeCosey and two apiece from Morgan and Cummings.
