Saint Louis 76, No. 24 Virginia Commonwealth 62: Junior guard Jordair Jett scored all 16 of his points in the second half as the host Billikens easily beat the Rams to move into first place in the Atlantic 10.
Saint Louis (20-5, 9-2 A-10) defeated Virginia Commonwealth for the first time in school history, and also received 15 points from junior guard Mike McCall Jr. Junior forward Dwayne Evans added 14 points and senior forward Cody Ellis scored 10.
The Rams (21-6, 9-3) were led by junior forward Juvonte Reddic, who had 19 points and 12 boards.
Virginia Commonwealth, the conference's top offense, fell behind 32-9 in the first half due to a scoring drought of over 10 minutes. Another five-minute scoring drought in the second half eventually allowed the Billikens to open up a 26-point lead, their largest of the night.
Saint Louis shot 55.3 percent from the field.
