WASHINGTON 80, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 58: Terrence Ross had 18 points and seven rebounds as visiting Washington clinched a share of the Pac-12 regular-season title with a convincing win over the last-place Trojans.

The Huskies (21-8, 14-3 Pac-12) nixed any chance of a Southern California upset by outrebounding the Trojans 30-10 in the first half and leading by 18 early in the second half.

Darnell Gant scored 14 points and Abdul Gaddy added 12 for Washington, which is a half-game ahead of California with one game to play. The Huskies have won five straight heading into their finale Saturday at UCLA.

Southern California (6-24, 1-16 Pac-12) lost its eighth straight game despite Byron Wesley’s career-high 23 points. Garrett Jackson added 14 for the Trojans, who have lost 17 of their last 18 games.

The Trojans cut the lead to nine midway through the second half, but the Huskies quickly regained control on 3-pointer by Ross and back-to-back baskets by C.J. Wilcox and Aziz N'Diaye.

Washington scored 38 points in the paint and outrebounded Southern California 47-20. The Huskies’ Tony Wroten, who entered the game averaging 16.7 points, finished with seven points on 2-of-13 shooting.
