Freshman Kentavious Caldwell-Pope bounced back from the worst game of his young career with 17 points as Georgia defeated visiting Furman 64-50 on Friday for its third straight victory.
Caldwell-Pope, who didn’t score in double figures for the first time in Tuesday’s victory over Mercer, hit 8-for-17 shots from the field as the Bulldogs (7-5) shot 48.8 percent from the field and 16-for-17 from the free-throw line.

Gerald Robinson added 13 points for the Bulldogs, who led 34-23 at halftime.
Furman (6-6) drew within 47-38 on Richard Brown’s layup with 10:47 to play, but Georgia pulled away with a 13-3 run.
Georgia hit its first 16 free-throw attempts before reserve center John Cannon missed with 31 seconds left.
Brandon Sebirumbi led the Paladins with 10 points.
