Rockies 7, Padres 6 (12): Drew Stubbs delivered a walk-off RBI single with one out in the 12th inning to lift Colorado to its third straight victory.

DJ LeMahieu led off the 12th against Jessie Hahn (7-4) with his third hit - a double down the right-field line - before Charlie Culberson sacrificed him to third. After Charlie Blackmon was intentionally walked, Stubbs drilled a hard grounder past third baseman Yangervis Solarte - one of five infielders employed by San Diego.

Justin Morneau belted a two-run homer among his four hits, Michael McKenry added a solo shot and two RBIs, and Nick Masset (2-0) - the 10th Rockies pitcher - earned the victory by pitching a scoreless 12th. Rookies Tommy Medica and Cory Spangenberg homered, Jedd Gyorko drove in two runs and Seth Smith delivered a game-tying RBI single in the eighth for the Padres, who erased a pair of four-run deficits before losing their fourth straight contest.

McKenry belted the first pitch he saw with one out in the second on a line out to center for his seventh of the season to give Colorado a 1-0 lead. Morneau crushed an 0-1 pitch over the wall in right-center - his 15th - in the third before McKenry delivered an RBI single three batters later to put the Rockies on top 4-0.

San Diego began to chip away with Gyorko's two-out RBI single in the fourth and Medica's eighth homer went out to left-center to make it 4-2 in the fifth. Trailing 6-2, Gyorko delivered a two-out run-scoring double in the sixth and Spangenberg delivered a pinch-hit two-run shot - his second - over the wall in left in the seventh.
