Giants 10, Pirates 0: Buster Posey, Gregor Blanco and Joaquin Arias each had three hits, and Hunter Pence belted a three-run homer as visiting San Francisco salvaged the series finale.

Matt Cain (5-3), pitching on the one-year anniversary of his perfect game, did not allow a hit until the fifth. He surrendered two hits in 6 2/3 shutout innings as the Giants improved to 3-3 on their nine-game road trip.

Pittsburgh's Charlie Morton (0-1), making his first start since last May, gave up four runs (two earned) on seven hits in five innings. The Pirates lost for just the second time in their past six games.

The Giants blew open the game with five runs off reliever Mike Zagurski in the sixth. Pence delivered the big blow, connecting on a three-run homer to center with two outs to make it 9-0 after Blanco and Posey had singled in runs.

Posey drove in the game’s first run on a single in the first, and Blanco made it 2-0 in the second on a run-scoring single to center. San Francisco doubled the lead to 4-0 in the fifth when Brandon Crawford scored on Pedro Alvarez’s error and Andres Torres drove home Posey on a sacrifice fly.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pittsburgh’s Garrett Jones singled off Cain leading off the fifth, and Andrew McCutchen doubled in the seventh for his 700th career hit. … Pittsburgh OF Starling Marte was scratched from the lineup with discomfort in his ribcage. … San Francisco recalled C Hector Sanchez and P Jake Dunning from Triple-A Fresno, optioning 1B Brett Pill and designating P Ramon Ramirez for assignment.
