Brewers 2, Pirates 1:
Marco Estrada allowed one run in seven strong innings as host Milwaukee halted Pittsburgh's four-game winning streak.

Alex Gonzalez had a first-inning two-run double and Estrada (4-2) made it stand. The right-hander tied his season high with eight strikeouts and allowed four hits to beat Pittsburgh for the second time in 12 days and improve to 5-0 against the Pirates.

Francisco Rodriguez got the final out for his first save as the Brewers won for only the fifth time in 21 games and dropped the Pirates to 8-48 at Miller Park since 2007.

A.J. Burnett (3-5) gave up two runs on three hits in seven innings to fall to 0-3 in his last four starts. Neil Walker had a pair of hits and drove in the Pirates' lone run with a double in the seventh inning.

Gonzalez staked Estrada to a 2-0 lead with his double up the alley in left-center. Estrada set down the first 14 batters before Walker singled with two outs in the fifth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Brewers closer Jim Henderson appeared to hurt his leg with two outs in the ninth inning and had to be replaced by Rodriguez. ... Burnett fanned six to boost his season total to 85 - the most by a Pittsburgh pitcher by the end of May since 1900. ... The Brewers placed RHP Hiram Burgos on the 15-day disabled list due to a shoulder impingement and activated LHP Tom Gorzelanny off the DL.
