Carlos Carrasco took a shutout into the ninth inning and Cleveland scored an unearned run in the fourth to break its five-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.

The loss snapped visiting Minnesota's five-game winning streak.

Cleveland scored its only run in the fourth on Shelley Duncan's RBI groundout.

Carrasco (5-3) gave up three hits and walked one in 8 1/3 innings. He was pulled after Ben Revere's one-out single in the ninth. Chris Perez retired the final two
hitters for his 15th save.

Carrasco retired the first 13 hitters, before Delmon Young doubled with one out in the fifth for Minnesota's first baserunner.

Francisco Liriano (3-6), making his first start since May 22, held the Indians to one unearned run in five innings. He had been on the disabled list since May 23 with a sore left shoulder.

Carlos Santana led off the fourth with a double into the corner in left field. The ball bounced away from Young, allowing Santana to take third. Duncan followed with a slow roller to short, scoring Santana.
