Scott Rolen hit two home runs and drove in the winning run with a one-out 10th inning single to drive in Henry Votto and give the Cincinnati Reds (4-3) a 6-5 victory at Florida (4-3).

Votto led off the 10th with a walk off Burke Badenhop (0-1), then advanced to second on a sacrifice by Brandon Phillips before Rolen’s soft liner above the glove of second baseman Dan Uggla allowed Votto to score.

Rolen previously had hit solo homers in the second and fourth innings off Marlins starter Ricky Nolasco. Nolasco also allowed a two-run shot to Orlando Cabrera in the fifth that gave Cincinnati a 5-4 advantage.

But Nolasco was able to get off the hook for his six-inning, nine-hit performance in which he allowed five earned runs. Ronny Paulino singled in Jorge Cantu in the seventh inning off Reds reliever Mike Lincoln.

Cantu continued his hot hitting by tying Cliff Lloyd’s team record when he drove in a run in his seventh straight game with a 2-run double to centerfield that gave the Marlins a 3-2 lead in the third inning. Uggla then drove in Cantu with a double of his own to give Florida a short lived 4-2 lead.

Reds starter Johnny Cueto pitched five innings, allowing nine hits and four earned runs.

Florida had a chance to win the game when they loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the ninth, but Nick Masset (2-0) was able to strike out Paulino and then get Cody Ross to ground out on a 3-2 pitch to end the rally.

The two teams meet again Tuesday night at 7:10 p.m. EDT, with Cincinnati’s Bronson Arroyo (0-0) facing Florida’s Nate Robertson (1-0).
