Nolan Patrick scored the game-winning goal with 1:51 remaining, and Brian Elliott made 23 saves as the visiting Philadelphia Flyers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night.
Sean Couturier and Ivan Provorov also scored goals for the Flyers, who had been outscored 13-2 in their three previous games. Claude Giroux finished with two assists for Philadelphia, which was playing the first of four games on a Western Conference road trip that continues on Thursday night at Los Angeles.
Pontus Aberg scored both goals for Anaheim, which lost its sixth consecutive game. He also scored his first two goals of the season in the Ducks' 4-3 overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night. Ryan Miller finished with 33 saves for the Ducks.
Couturier gave Philadelphia 1-0 lead 3:07 into the first period with a power-play goal. He redirected a Giroux pass into the slot through his legs and past Miller's glove for his fourth goal of the season.
Anaheim tied it early in the second period when Aberg fired a wrist shot from the right circle through traffic and over Elliott's glove.
Provorov put the Flyers back in front seven-plus minutes later with his first goal of the season. It came when Giroux fired a shot from the high slot that hit the inside of a leaping Provorov's right skate and caromed past Miller's glove.
Aberg tied it with a power-play goal with 2:12 remaining when he deflected a Cam Fowler shot under Elliott's blocker. However, Patrick, left alone just to the right side of the slot, came right back to score the game winner 21 seconds later when one-timed a pass from Oskar Lindblom through Miller's pads for the game winner.
Anaheim pulled Miller with 35 seconds to go but didn't manage a shot on goal.
The Ducks host the New York Rangers on Thursday.
