Oscar da Silva scored the final two of his team-high 26 points at the buzzer and host Stanford handed No. 24 UCLA its first Pac-12 Conference loss of the season Saturday, 73-72 in overtime.

The Cardinal (9-5, 5-3) led for almost the entirety of overtime but gave up a 10-3 run over 1:34 that culminated with Bruins guard Tyger Campbell's three-point play, giving UCLA a 72-71 lead with 5.5 seconds remaining.

Jalen Hill blocked Jaiden Delaire's driving attempt, which caromed out-of-bounds with 0.8 seconds to go. On the ensuing baseline inbound, da Silva curled into the paint and was wide-open on the game-winning lay-up.

Stanford limped into Saturday's matchup after road losses last weekend at Utah and Colorado, and with Daejon Davis (leg), Bryce Wills (knee) and Ziaire Williams (personal) all out of the lineup. The Cardinal welcomed Spencer Jones back into the lineup, however, and his presence was crucial.

One of Stanford's premier defensive players, Jones came through with three steals and a block of UCLA's Campbell late in regulation. On offense, Jones scored six of his 13 points on two of the game's most critical plays.

He sank all three free throws after Johnny Juzang fouled him on a jump shot with UCLA leading and less than a minute remaining in regulation. Then, in overtime, his 3-pointer with 2:41 to go pushed Stanford's lead to four points.

Delaire later found da Silva for a fast-break dunk that extended the lead to six points before UCLA's late and nearly successful last-gasp run. Delaire finished with 19 points.

Juzang -- whose previous career-high of 17 points came Jan. 14 against Washington State -- scored 16 consecutive points in the first half en route to a new career-high of 27.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 14 points for UCLA (12-3, 8-1). Campbell scored 13 points and nearly knocked down a game-winning step-back at the end of regulation.

The loss ended UCLA's best conference start since 1982-83. A win Saturday would have matched that Bruins team's 9-0 beginning in the former Pac-10 Conference.
