Tyrese Haliburton had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists, and George Conditt IV had a career-high 17 points and tied a career high with five blocked shots as the host Iowa State Cyclones upset the No. 16 Seton Hall Pirates 76-66 Sunday.

Rasir Bolton added 17 points and eight rebounds, and the Cyclones used a late 14-3 run to take control, avenging an eight-point loss to the Pirates in the fifth-place game of the Battle 4 Atlantis in Nassau, the Bahamas, on Nov. 29.

All-American candidate Myles Powell had 19 points and four 3-pointers before fouling out with 54 seconds remaining for Seton Hall, which was unable to overcome the loss of second-leading scorer Sandro Mamukelashvili.

Mamukelashvili left the game after sustaining a broken wrist on a hard fall while attempting to block a shot with 15:13 remaining in the first half. He was averaging 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, and he had 18 points and three 3-pointers the last time the teams met. He missed his only field-goal attempt Sunday.

Powell's 3-pointer with 8:45 remaining gave the Pirates a 50-48 lead before Haliburton led the Cyclones on their late surge for a 62-53 cushion, their largest to that point. Haliburton had six points in that stretch, including a 3-pointer to cap the run with 2:30 remaining.

Prentiss Nixon followed a Quincy McKnight 3-pointer by hitting three free throws with 1:27 remaining push the Cyclones' lead to nine, and the Pirates never were closer than seven.

McKnight and Myles Cale had nine points apiece for the Pirates, who shot 36.8 percent from the field and were 8-of-30 from 3-point range. Iowa State shot 38.3 percent from the field but was 26-of-33 from the foul line.

Powell was 7-of-20 from the field, 4-of-11 on 3-point attempts, and had a season-high eight rebounds. He had 10 of the Pirates' 11 points in a stretch of the second half to keep the game close.

Haliburton, who also had six rebounds, has at least five assists in all nine Iowa State games.
