Adam Henrique scored in each of the first two periods and Connor McDavid netted a breakaway goal to lead the visiting Edmonton Oilers past the Boston Bruins 4-0 on Tuesday night.

Henrique scored the only goal Edmonton needed at 6:33 of the first period before adding another in the second to ensure the team's fourth consecutive win and 15th in 19 games (15-3-1).

Viktor Arvidsson also scored for the Oilers, while Brett Kulak had two assists.

Stuart Skinner made 26 saves but shared the shutout with Calvin Pickard after taking a hit on Boston defenseman Nikita Zadorov's hard net drive with 5:25 left in the opening frame. Pickard did not have to make a save before Skinner returned to start the second.

Edmonton recorded double-digit shots in all three periods en route to a 39-26 advantage and went 1-for-3 on the power play.

Jeremy Swayman made 35 saves for Boston, which was shut out for the fifth time this season and fell to 0-4-1 in its last five games.

Henrique opened the scoring during a first period full of quality opportunities for the Oilers, beating Swayman with an open wrist shot in the slot after taking Corey Perry's pass from beyond the goal line 6 1/2 minutes in.

Edmonton had a 19-6 edge in shots prior to Boston's first power play at 6:23 of the middle frame. Among several dangerous chances, Swayman stopped an early Ryan Nugent-Hopkins backhander from close range.

However, a key swing saw the visitors take a 2-0 lead just past the game's midway point.

After Skinner saved Pavel Zacha's short-handed breakaway at one end of the ice, a Charlie McAvoy offensive zone turnover allowed Nugent-Hopkins to send an open McDavid down the middle to score at the 11:11 mark.

The Oiler lead reached 3-0 with 3:25 left in the second, as Henrique took a quick Jeff Skinner feed at the left crease and scored high on Swayman's blocker side.

Stuart Skinner stopped another break from Boston's short-handed unit in the third as John Beecher charged in with 5:12 left.

Arvidsson's empty-net goal with 3:35 to go added an exclamation point on the victory.
