No. 3 Gonzaga 91, Pacific 60: Gary Bell Jr. and Przemek Karnowski scored 13 points apiece as the Bulldogs extended the nation's longest home-winning streak to 36 games.
Silas Melson took advantage of extra playing time to shoot 4-of-7 from 3-point range and score 12 points - all in the second half - and Byron Wesley added 11 points for Gonzaga (20-1, 9-0 WCC), which shot 60 percent from the floor and committed five turnovers. Domantas Sabonis added another 10 points off the bench and Kevin Pangos finished with nine on 3-for-5 from 3-point range for the Bulldogs.
Eric Thompson and T.J. Wallace scored 12 points apiece to lead Pacific (10-11, 2-7). Dulani Robinson added 11 points and Ilias Theodorou led the reserves with seven.
Pacific took its only lead at 3-2 on a 3-pointer by Robinson on its first possession but that advantage lasted just over a minute as Pangos and Bell sank 3-pointers in a 10-0 run to put the Bulldogs on top 12-3. The Bulldogs made 11 of their first 14 field goal attempts while building a 31-15 lead just past the midway point of the first half.
Gonzaga, which came in leading the nation in field goal percentage at 53, improved to 16-for-21 from the floor on a basket by Eric McClellan that stretched the advantage to 45-25 with 3:22 remaining before intermission. The Bulldogs cooled off and missed their final three shots of the opening half, but still shot 66.7 percent and took a 45-27 lead into the break.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bulldogs have their best record through 21 games in program history. ... Pangos' third 3-pointer gave him 288 for his career and tied Blake Stepp for the all-time lead at Gonzaga. ... The Bulldogs have won 32 straight home games in WCC play.
