Vanderbilt 71, Alabama A&M 46: Kedren Johnson scored 19 points and Rod Odom had 17 to help the host Commodores cruise past the Bulldogs.
Johnson was 6-for-8 from the foul line and also made three 3-pointers. Odom finished 6-for-10 from the field, 1-for-3 from the foul line and made four 3-pointers.
Josh Henderson chipped in 13 points for Vanderbilt (4-4), which won its second straight game. The Commodores led 31-22 at halftime.
Alabama A&M (2-6) lost its fourth straight and fell to 0-5 on the road. The Bulldogs were led by Demarquelle Tabb, who had 10 points and seven rebounds, and Brandon Ellis, who also had 10 points.
Vanderbilt shot 51 percent (26-for-51) from the field compared to Alabama A&M's 32.6-percent shooting (15-for-46). The Bulldogs shot 70.6 percent (12-for-17) from the foul line, while the Commodores shot just 47.4 percent (9-for-19).
