Right-hander German Marquez held the Padres to two runs over six innings and hit the second home run of his career Saturday night as the visiting Colorado Rockies defeated the San Diego Padres 5-3.

Brendan Rodgers and Elias Diaz also homered off Padres starter Yu Darvish.

The Rockies, who 13-39 road record is among the worst in the majors, have won two straight in San Diego and four of the last five games against the Padres in San Diego.

Marquez (9-8) gave up four hits and four walks in winning his second straight decision against the Padres. He struck out seven.

Darvish (7-6) gave up five runs on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in six innings. Saturday was the first time Darvish gave up three home runs in a game since Aug. 21, 2019. The loss was also the fourth straight for Darvish in July.

The Rockies took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third.

Sam Hilliard drew a walk to open the inning, stole second, moved to third on a groundout by Marquez and scored when Charlie Blackmon grounded out to second. Rodgers then hit a solo homer to center, his ninth of the season.

The Padres tied the game in the bottom of the third. Adam Frazier doubled with one out and Jake Cronenworth, who was playing short for the injured Fernando Tatis Jr., followed with a two-run homer to right-center. It was Cronenworth's 15th of the season.

Diaz broke the tie with his 11th homer leading off the fifth. Two hitters later Marquez homered to straight-away center to make it 4-2. The Rockies got their fifth run an inning later when Connor Joe followed a Trevor Story double with an RBI single.

The Padres scored their third run in the bottom of the ninth off a Jurickson Profar double and an RBI single by pinch-hitter Austin Nola off Rockies closer Daniel Bard, who picked up his 16th save.

Earlier Saturday, the Padres placed two key players on the 10-day injured list. All-Star Tatis suffered his third partial dislocation of his left shoulder in Friday night's game. And Sunday's scheduled starting pitcher, Chris Paddack, was placed on the injured list with an oblique strain.
