Flyers 4, Oilers 1: Jakub Voracek scored twice as host Philadelphia cruised in the opener of a four-game homestand.

Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and defenseman Luke Schenn added goals for the Flyers, who halted a two-game skid. Steve Mason turned aside 35 shots for his first victory of the season following an 0-4-1 start.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins countered for the Oilers, who fell flat as they kicked off a five-game road trip. Viktor Fasth made 21 saves in defeat.

Voracek opened the scoring at 3:59, gathering a loose puck behind the goal and wrapping it past Fasth inside the left post. He capped his first multi-goal game of the season with just under four minutes remaining in the first period, pouncing on a loose puck on the right edge of the slot before kicking it to his stick and one-timing it past Fasth.

The Flyers made it 3-0 at 4:09 of the middle frame as Bellemare was credited for a goal that went in off the skate of Oliers defenseman Oscar Klefbom. Nugent-Hopkins ended Mason's shutout bid at 9:54, but the Flyers restored the three-goal cushion at 12:01 on Schenn's first of the season on an assist from his brother Brayden.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Voracek has three goals and eight assists during a six-game point streak and has been held off the scoresheet just once in his first 12 games. ... Edmonton fell to 0-3-1 on the road. ... Oilers F Teddy Purcell has been held without a point over his last five games.
