Blues 6, Oilers 2: Jaden Schwartz scored twice and Vladimir Sobotka celebrated his return to the lineup with a goal and two assists to power host St. Louis.

Linemate T.J. Oshie matched Sobotka with a goal and two assists and Vladimir Tarasenko added one of each as St. Louis won for the sixth time in seven games (6-0-1) to increase its lead to four points in the race for the Presidents' Trophy. Defenseman Alex Pietrangelo ignited a four-goal third period with the tiebreaking tally, Alexander Steen had two assists and Ryan Miller turned aside 22 shots to improve to 7-0-0 lifetime against Edmonton.

David Perron scored in his first game back in St. Louis and defenseman Mark Fraser added a goal for the Oilers, who lost all three meetings and were swept by the Blues in a season series for the first time since 1993-94. Ben Scrivens made 31 saves in defeat.

Perron put Edmonton ahead 7 1/2 minutes into the contest, marking the first time the Oilers scored first since Feb. 6, but Sobotka drove the net before beating Scrivens in tight with 72 seconds left in the period. Tarasenko and Fraser traded goals in the second - the latter a controversial tally after St. Louis defenseman Barret Jackman took a knee to the head and was face-first on the ice while play continued.

Sobotka set up Pietrangelo in front for the go-ahead tally 42 seconds into the third before Schwartz doubled the lead and ended a nine-goal goalless drought by burying a shot from the slot just under four minutes later. Oshie converted on the power play at 7:56 before Schwartz connected on a backhander exactly five minutes later to turn it into a rout.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Schwartz (21) and Tarasenko (20) became the third and fourth St. Louis players to reach 20 goals and D Kevin Shattenkirk's assist on Oshie's tally made the Blues the first team to have seven players with 40 points. ... Perron, who was traded to Edmonton last July after spending his first six seasons with St. Louis, boosted his team- and career-best total to 25 goals. ... Sobotka, who had been sidelined since Jan. 31 with a knee injury, scored his career-high eighth goal while Oshie established a personal best with his 35th and 36th assists.
