Wild 3, Oilers 0: Mikael Granlund continued his hot play with a goal and rookie Darcy Kuemper made 21 saves for his second career shutout as visiting Minnesota continued its mastery of Edmonton.

Stephane Veilleux and Dany Heatley also scored for the Wild, who are 15-3-0 against the Oilers since the start of 2010-11 after winning for the sixth time in the last seven meetings. Granlund, who helped Finland win a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics with a team-leading seven points, has recorded nine in his last eight NHL contests.

Ben Scrivens made 18 saves for Edmonton, which along with Minnesota registered six shots in the first period, 10 in the second and five in the third. The Oilers' best scoring chance came in the second session, when Jordan Eberle was denied by the right pad of Kuemper - 9-2-2 in 14 starts since Jan. 7 - to keep it a 2-0 contest.

Granlund's sixth goal of the season came when he took a feed in the slot after a give-and-go with Zach Parise and easily beat Scrivens at 2:04 of the first period. The score remained 1-0 when Kuemper could not locate the puck after making a save before defenseman Jared Spurgeon alertly swept it between the netminder's legs and out of the crease.

Veilleux scored his second goal of the season at 9:37 of the second period, when he accepted a pass from Erik Haula in the right faceoff circle and wired a shot past Scrivens' glove. Charlie Coyle fed Heatley near the crease, and he swept a shot under Scrivens with 10:31 left for his 12th goal while being checked to the ice by Oilers defenseman Anton Belov.
