With a game-time temperature of 62 degrees and numerous celebrities in attendance, this outdoor contest had a vastly different feel than the frigid Winter Classic on New Year's Day. Anze Kopitar was awarded a penalty shot after being hooked by Anaheim defenseman Ben Lovejoy midway through the first period, but Hiller kept his pads closed to preserve the Ducks' 2-0 lead. The Swiss netminder registered his 20th career shutout and fourth of the season one start removed from receiving an early exit on Sunday after yielding three goals on 11 shots versus Winnipeg.

Andrew Cogliano scored an empty-net goal and Nick Bonino notched an assist to extend his point streak to four games for Anaheim, which posted a 2-1 home triumph over Los Angeles on Thursday. The Kings fell to 0-4-1 in their last five contests.
