Canucks 4, Oilers 0:
Cory Schneider made 23 saves for his eighth career shutout and fourth of the season while Henrk Sedin recorded a goal and an assist as Vancouver blanked visiting Edmonton to snap a modest two-game slide.

Defenseman Kevin Bieksa scored a power-play goal, Chris Higgins and Zack Kassian also tallied and blue-liner Jason Garrison notched two assists for the Canucks, who took a two-point lead over the Minnesota Wild for first place in the Northwest Division.

Nikolai Khabibulin turned aside 24 shots as the Oilers had their five-game winning streak come to an end. Edmonton, which earned a 4-0 win over Vancouver at home on Saturday, dropped into ninth place in the Western Conference - one point behind eighth-place St. Louis.

The Oilers drew a penalty for too many men on the ice with 4:55 left in the first period, and it took the Canucks 16 seconds to capitalize on the power play as Bieksa beat Khabibulin with a slap shot.

Sedin doubled the lead with 5:34 left in the second, when his brother Daniel sent a pass through the crease that Khabibulin missed, allowing Henrik to tip it into the open net. Higgins finished off a 2-on-1 rush by converting a strong feed from newcomer Derek Roy to make it 3-0 at 6:47 of the third.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Kassian, who was recalled from the American Hockey League on Wednesday, provided the final margin with four seconds left. … Roy, who was acquired from the Dallas Stars on Tuesday, made his debut with Vancouver and logged 17:54 of ice time. … Oilers LW Taylor Hall, who recorded a hat trick against the Canucks on Saturday, had his six-game point streak snapped.
