Bryan Little snapped a tie with five minutes remaining in the third period and the Winnipeg Jets held on for a 2-1 home victory over the league-leading Minnesota Wild on Tuesday.
Defenseman Zach Bogosian also scored and Ondrej Pavelec made 34 saves for Winnipeg, which kicked off its six-game homestand with its fifth consecutive win in its own building. Pavelec's biggest stop came when he robbed Kyle Brodziak on the doorstep with 48 seconds left.
Just as Clayton Stoner's delay-of-game penalty expired, Dustin Byfuglien made a cross-slot pass from the right faceoff circle that Little fired past Niklas Backstrom from the left side of the crease, extending his goal-scoring streak to four games and his points run to seven contests.
Latendresse gave Minnesota a 1-0 lead during a 5-on-3 power play early in the second period when he buried a rebound from the doorstep.
A miscue by Latendresse led to the tying goal four minutes later as his clearing attempt was kept in the offensive zone at the right point by Bogosian, who then unleashed a slap shot that went through a screen and past Backstrom.
Dany Heatley notched an assist to stretch his points streak to seven contests for Minnesota, which had won seven in a row both overall and on the road. The Wild finished 4-1-0 on their five-game road trip.
