Jonas Aidoo posted a double-double with a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds as No. 8 Tennessee coasted past Arkansas 92-63 in a Southeastern Conference matchup Wednesday night in Fayetteville, Ark.
Dalton Knecht scored 22 points and also had three blocks and two steals as the Volunteers (18-6, 8-3) ended a seven-game losing streak to the Hogs in Fayetteville and kept their hold on fourth place in the conference standings.
Jordan Gainey came up a point shy of his season high with 17 points for the Vols. Aidoo's double-double was his seventh of the season and eighth of his career.
Travon Mark with 12 points was the only player in double figures for the Razorbacks (12-12, 3-8).
The Vols backed up their hot first half (54.3 percent shooting) with 60.9 percent shooting in the second to finish at 56.9 for the game. The Razorbacks faded to 25.8 percent in the second half and finished at 37.9
The Vols also dominated at the free-throw line, going 21 of 24 compared to 11 of 15 by the Hogs, and cashed in on 15 Arkansas turnovers for a dominant 28-12 advantage in points off turnovers.
The Vols opened the second half on an 18-7 run, going 7 of 11 from the field, to build a 64-47 lead less than six minutes into the period. The Vols then stretched that to a 73-49 cushion by completing a 17-2 surge.
Tennessee's biggest lead was 32 points, twice over the last two minutes.
Tennessee went into the break up 46-40 after Arkansas was awarded a late basket after an official review reversed an offensive basket interference call against the Razorbacks.
Both teams were on fire with the Vols shooting 54.3 percent from the field on 19-of-35 shooting and the Hogs at 51.9 percent on 14-of-27 shooting.
The Razorbacks came into the game shooting only 28.1 percent from 3-point range in conference play but were 6 of 13 from long range (46.2 percent) in the first half. They finished the game 8 of 23 on 3-pointers, their season high for made 3's in conference play.
The Vols enjoyed a huge 28-12 advantage in points in the paint in the first half and finished the game with a 48-22 cushion in the category.
