Eli Brooks had 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists and Michigan snapped a four-game losing streak by pulling away from Nebraska, 79-68, in Lincoln, Neb. on Tuesday.

Franz Wagner contributed 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Brandon Johns Jr. supplied 16 points and seven rebounds. Jon Teske added nine points, eight rebounds and three assists for the Wolverines (12-8 overall, 3-6 Big Ten), who won a conference road game for the first time this season.

Michigan was missing two starters. Point guard Zavier Simpson was suspended earlier this week for violating team rules. Power forward Isaiah Livers was sidelined with a hip injury.

Cam Mack racked up 19 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for the Cornhuskers (7-14, 2-8), who have lost six straight. Haanif Cheatham and Kevin Cross scored 17 points apiece.

Michigan led 40-35 at halftime behind Brooks' nine points. Mack topped Nebraska with 13 points.

Neither side had a lead bigger than five points until Brooks drained a 3-pointer with 1:27 left in the half. Mack answered with a 3 but Teske made a layup with four seconds left. Mack had enough time to score a layup before the buzzer sounded.

Wagner converted a three-point play after making a steal early in the second half to give Michigan a 48-41 lead.

Nebraska roared back with an 11-2 run to gain the lead. Cross got the outburst going with a 3-pointer. He also made two free throws and a jumper during that span.

The Wolverines regained the advantage on a Wagner 3-pointer. From that point, Michigan took control. A Johns 3-pointer midway through the half gave the Wolverines a six-point lead and began an 11-0 spurt.

Johns followed with a dunk and Brooks made two free throws. A hook shot by Teske and a putback by Johns made it 69-55 with 6:34 left.

The Cornhuskers couldn't get closer than nine points the remainder of the game.
