Warriors 123, 76ers 80: Marreese Speights scored a career-best 32 points on 12-of-15 shooting as host Golden State handed Philadelphia its second consecutive humiliating defeat.

Stephen Curry added 23 points and eight assists as the Warriors won for the fourth time in six games. David Lee (shoulder) returned from a two-game absence to contribute 13 points and 13 rebounds and Draymond Green had 11 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots.

Michael Carter-Williams scored 24 points for the 76ers, who lost 123-78 to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young added 12 points apiece as Philadelphia fell for the seventh straight contest and 17th time in 20 games.

The 76ers shot 36.7 percent one night after shooting just 27 percent in the loss to the Clippers and were outrebounded 60-38 while becoming the first NBA team to lose by 40 or more points on back-to-back nights since they lost by 48 and 45 points on consecutive nights late in the 1993-94 campaign. Philadelphia was within 33-27 after 15 minutes before things unraveled as Speights and the Warriors began pouring it on.

Speights scored 13 points during a 14-0 burst that gave Golden State a 47-27 advantage with 6:30 left in the half. The 76ers scored the next six points before the Warriors rattled off the final 19 of the half, capped by two 3-pointers by Curry, for a 66-33 lead at the break.

Curry’s 3-pointer pushed the lead to more than 40 early in the third quarter and the advantage was 48 late in the period before Golden State took a 98-52 lead into the fourth quarter. The lead reached 49 on three occasions in the final stanza.

The Warriors were 12-of-29 from 3-point range – six by Curry – while Philadelphia was 2-of-17 from behind the arc. The 76ers were in danger of not making one until Carter-Williams connected with 3:51 to play for the first of the squad’s two late makes.
