Warriors 89, Nuggets 81: David Lee collected 28 points and 10 rebounds as visiting Golden State continued Denver’s home struggles.

Stephen Curry added 14 points and seven assists, Klay Thompson scored 13 points and Andre Iguodala scored 12 as the Warriors picked up their third win in four games. Andrew Bogut hauled in 11 rebounds to go along with four points and three blocks for Golden State, which beat the Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs last season.

Ty Lawson scored 16 points and Timofey Mozgov added 14 points and 11 boards as the Nuggets (7-6) doubled their number of home losses from last season. Andre Miller scored 14 points off the bench and Nate Robinson added 13.

Wilson Chandler’s dunk gave Denver a 77-76 lead with 4:54 left before Lee and Thompson scored on back-to-back possessions and Igoudala buried a 3-pointer to give the Warriors an 83-78 advantage. Miller hit a jumper to make it a three-point game but Nuggets missed three chances to tie or cut the lead.

Thompson hit a turnaround jumper with 22 seconds left to make it an 85-80 lead and Lee clinched his ninth straight double-double with a defensive rebound before hitting two free throws to put it away. Golden State ended up outscoring Denver 25-15 in the fourth quarter to pull away.

The Warriors scored on their first four possessions and took a 24-9 lead on Curry’s 3-pointer with 5:15 left in the first quarter before the Nuggets came back to make it 30-22 at the end of the period. Golden State led by as much as 11 points in the second and scored the final four points of the quarter to take a 47-43 lead into the break after Denver had battled back to tie it.

Lawson and Chandler each knocked down a 3-pointer during a 10-0 burst that put the Nuggets on top, 55-52 midway through the third. It went back and forth before Robinson’s jumper gave Denver a two-point edge at the end of the third, and Robinson’s 3-pointer on the first possession of the fourth made it a 69-64 gap.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bogut has recorded double-digit rebounds in nine straight games, the longest streak by a Warriors center since Andris Biedrins in 2008. … The lead changed 10 times in the second half after Golden State did not fall behind the entire opening 24 minutes. … The Nuggets shot 38.3 percent from the floor, including 3-of-13 from 3-point range.
