Raptors 123, Magic 88: DeMar DeRozan scored 21 points to lead six players in double figures and visiting Toronto rode a sizzling first-half shooting display to blitz slumping Orlando.
Ed Davis added 18 points and Jose Calderon had 15 and 10 assists as the Raptors sent the Magic to their fifth consecutive defeat and improved to 3-0 against them this season.
Kyle Lowry and Terrence Ross scored 16 points apiece as the Raptors won for the seventh time in eight games by shooting 70 percent in the first quarter and closing the period on a 20-2 run to take a 36-21 lead. Toronto built its biggest halftime advantage of the season at 67-47 by burying 10 of 14 3-point attempts.
Rookie Andrew Nicholson scored a season-high 22 points for injury-depleted Orlando, which was without its top two point guards in losing to Toronto for the second time in nine days.
Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu returned for the first time since breaking his hand in the season opener. He had eight points, five rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes off the bench.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Toronto, which finished 15-of-27 from behind the arc, managed to end December with a 7-7 mark after starting the month with six straight losses. ... Magic starting PG Jameer Nelson sat out with a sore left hip and backup E'Twaun Moore was sidelined with a sprained left elbow. Nelson is listed as day-to-day and Moore's return will hinge on his improvement. ... Calderon is averaging 12.3 points and 12.3 assists in Toronto's three wins over Orlando this season.
