Knicks 110, 76ers 88: Carmelo Anthony led seven players in double figures with 21 points and the Knicks remained unbeaten by overcoming an early deficit against host Philadelphia in the second game of a back-to-back set.
J.R. Smith added 10 of his 17 in the fourth quarter while Raymond Felton collected 16 points and eight assists as the Knicks outscored Philadelphia 106-74 over the final 44:16. Tyson Chandler chipped in 14 and Ronnie Brewer contributed 13 as New York shot 46.4 percent, improved to 3-0 for the first time since 1999-00 and won their first three games by double figures for the first time in team history. Rookie Pablo Prigioni added 11 and Rasheed Wallace contributed 10 in his first significant NBA action in two years.
Jrue Holliday failed to repeat his 27-point showing from Sunday in New York and led Philadelphia with 17 points. Thaddeus Young and Dorell Wright added 14 apiece for the 76ers, who shot 33.7 percent.
In their first two victories, the Knicks trailed for a total of just 39 seconds but quickly fell behind 14-4 in the opening minutes. Anthony missed his first four shots but made five of his next eight and had 15 points as the Knicks took a 56-48 lead into halftime before outscoring Philadelphia 33-20 in the third.
GAME NOTEBOOK: 76ers G Jason Richardson sat out with a sprained left ankle and could miss up to a week. ...Smith and Philadelphia G Royal Ivey briefly exchanged shoves with 8:57 remaining in the second quarter when they got tangled underneath the basket going for a rebound, but only Smith was called for a technical foul. ... C Kwame Brown made his debut for the 76ers and played 10:50 before leaving with a strained left calf in the third.
