It was Boston’s fourth straight win. The Bulls have lost two straight.
The Celtics (5-1) led throughout the game but the Bulls tied things up at 96-96 late in the fourth quarter and neither team scored in the final minute of regulation. Chicago (2-3) held the ball for the final shot but Derrick Rose lost control of the ball and the Bulls never got a shot off.
Ray Allen led seven different Celtics in double figures with 25 points. Kevin Garnett added 16.
Joakim Noah led Chicago with 26 points while Luol Deng added 20.
Celtics center Shaquille O’Neal missed his third straight game because of a bruised right knee.
