Georgia used a 17-0 second-half run to pull away from Missouri but had to hang on for a 60-57 victory on Wednesday night in Columbia, Mo.
The Bulldogs (10-6, 3-3 SEC) and Tigers (8-10, 1-4) went into halftime tied 22-22, but Missouri's scoreless drought of nearly six minutes early in the second half gave Georgia some breathing room.
Missouri battled back from a 16-point deficit to trail 56-53 with under a minute to go but couldn't get closer. Four free throws by Georgia's J.J. Frazier in the final 26 seconds kept the game out of reach.
Missouri, which has lost its last three games, had no answer for Georgia forward Yante Maten for most of the game. Maten finished with game highs of 21 points and 12 rebounds but was held scoreless in the final 6:02 as the Tigers made their comeback.
Guards Terrance Phillips and Namon Wright each scored 12 points to lead Missouri.
