St. John's 86, DePaul 78: D'Angelo Harrison scored a season-high 33 points and the host Red Storm gained a split of the season series with the Blue Demons in a Big East contest.

Harrison, who has scored in double figures in 13 straight games, was 6-for-8 from 3-point range and added 10 rebounds for St. John's, which has won two straight. The Red Storm (16-8, 5-6) also got 18 points from Phil Greene IV, and 15 points apiece from Rysheed Jordan and Sir'Dominic Pointer, who added 11 rebounds.

Billy Garrett Jr. and Tommy Hamilton IV both scored 18 to lead DePaul (12-14, 6-7), which has lost five of its last six. The Blue Demons also got 17 points from Jamee Crockett and 13 points and seven rebounds from Myke Henry.

A jumper by Greene midway through the first half gave St. John's a 16-15 lead and it maintained a 36-33 advantage at the break. Harrison had 11 points and seven rebounds in the first half, hitting 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.

The Red Storm opened up a 57-44 lead early in the second half but DePaul went on an 18-5 run to tie the game at 62 on Garrett's jumper with 8:18 left. But Greene and Harrison combined for 11 points in a 16-5 run, giving St. John's a 78-67 lead with 3:35 to play before DePaul trimmed the deficit to 82-76 on a 3-pointer by Garrett with 45 seconds left, but it never got any closer.
