Iowa State (4-0) used a pair of big runs to finish off North Carolina A&T (1-4) in the opening half. The Cyclones started the game on a 15-2 streak, holding the Aggies without a field goal for the first 7:40 of the game. Iowa State then ended the half on a 19-3 spurt over the final 6:31 to take a commanding 38-17 lead at intermission.
Georges Niang also came up big off the bench for the Cyclones, scoring 14 points and grabbing six rebounds. Will Clyburn recorded 14 points and eight boards for Iowa State, which has won 11 straight at home dating back to last year.
Jean Louisme had 11 points to finish as the lone player in double figures for the Aggies, who have lost four in a row.
