Steven Pledger scored a career-high 38 points, including 12 in overtime, as Oklahoma rallied from a late six-point deficit in regulation to stun host Iowa State 82-76 on Saturday night.
Oklahoma (11-9, 3-3 Big 12), which won its third straight, held Iowa State (14-8, 1-6 Big 12) scoreless in the last 3:35 in regulation to force the extra session.
Pledger, who was 7 of 13 from 3-point range, hit a 3-pointer with 35 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game 67-67, and scored the Sooners' first 10 points in overtime as Oklahoma beat Iowa State for the fifth straight time.
Oklahoma led by as many as 13 in the first half, only to see Iowa State rally in the second half to take a six-point lead with 3:35 remaining.
But the Cyclones' woes in close games continued as they dropped their second overtime game in Big 12 play.
Melvin Ejim came off the bench for the first time since November and had 19 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, and Jake Anderson had 18 and 10 for Iowa State, which has lost four straight.
